This piece is cut out of 1 1/2 inch pine. DELETE THIS The pieces are first stained and then the fronts painted with light ivory, light pink, and bright pink paint. The edges are then lightly sanded Red vinyl letters and hearts are applied. The piece is then finished with several coats of acrylic matte spray. An Ivory ribbon is tied around the block set. The piece is held together by extra strength glue and 2.5 inch screws. This makes the likelihood of it coming apart in shipping minimized. It measured 7" wide by 4.5" tall before ribbon is applied.

This listing is for a primitive set of 3 hand painted, hand cut wooden blocks. The largest "Happy Valentine's Day" block measures app. 11 " long x 2 3/4" tall x 1 1/2" wide. The medium block which can be personalized with a name measures app. 5 1/2" long x 2 3/4" tall x 1 1/2" wide. The smallest block with the hearts measures app. 2 1/4" x 2 1/4". I've based each in lamp black, then added a top coat of either red, pink or white. I've painted the letters and the hearts in red or white also. Each block has been sanded and distressed for that primitive "aged" look. The pieces have been finished with several coats of matte sealer for protection but should still only be wiped with a damp cloth. These would make a great addition to anyone's prim Valentine collection!
