This mug has been handmade and decorated by Rupert Andrews. The Rupert Andrews Pottery has been established in 1974. Not only had Rupert achieved something that has never been done before – Unique Crackle Glaze on white stoneware that is fully water tight and functional. This little mug holds a reasonable amount of hot chocolate for a little kid. I made it wider at the bottom to avoid spills. This one is made for a right handed child, so they can see the heart when they drink. That is very important to those little guys. I made this mug on the potter's wheel with stoneware clay. I cut the heart symbol out by hand. The rim is nice and smooth for drinking. I dipped it in a gloss-white glaze, then brushed the cheerful red onto the hearts. About 3in tall, 3 1/2 in wide (not including handle) Holds about 9 oz.
