It is made in beautiful bleached osnaburg. Osnaburg is a midweight fabric with a linen look. It is also similar to burlap, but unlike burlap, it is soft, doesn't fray as much, and has no odor. Osnaburg, unlike burlap, can be washed.

Lets Get It On Pillow, Black and White
This square pillow is made of a soft black denim with white cotton applique. I used a sumi-e ink brush to hand paint the lettering on paper, then traced and hand cut each letter. Lastly, I machine appliqued it on to the front of this one of a kind pillow using my trusty 1970's Sewing Machine. The back is a simple envelope closure, and easily removes in the event that you need to spot clean. The applique does best with a spot cleaning or gentle hand cleaning to avoid edge fray.

These 16x16 inch pillow covers are made from beginning to end in my home using an easily-maintained and sturdy black cotton denim. This is a simple envelope design with a generous 2-inch overlap in the back to prevent gapping.
